Last Saturday, our Live Events & Promotion students hosted Urban Stages in the heart of the Pavilion Gardens to showcase the young, and emerging musical talent in the South East. Serena O’Connel (Live Events & Promotion student and aspiring journalist) had this to say about the event…
“Urban Stages was held on Saturday the 13th of June to showcase youth talent. It was a roaring success, and made a real positive impact on the community, as well as highlighting that the Live Events students at Dv8 Sussex know how to put on a successful show.
My classmates and I were blessed with an extraordinary sunny day, which really heightened our moods and enthusiasm for the show ahead. The performances started at 1pm, and our organisational skills shone through as the event ran on time all the way through, just as we had scheduled it to.
The artists that performed on the day were absolutely brilliant, it was easy to see that the audience were very impressed with the young people’s performances. Overall Urban Stages proved to be a fantastic event, and a great showcase of the upcoming local talent.
Thank you to all of our performers for taking part, and the audience that came out to see our show.”
