I hope that you are keeping well in these challenging and uncertain times.
As we start the second half of the first term, I wanted to take the opportunity to update you on our current strategy for teaching, learning and assessment. Before half term, we were adopting a 50:50 model, with students attending every other day of their timetable. Following feedback from staff, students, parents & carers, we are amending this model, as of next Monday, November 16th. Students will now be attending for the majority of their lessons, with some virtual delivery and a more blended model. We are confident that this will significantly improve the learning experience for all our students.
We have worked very hard to ensure that we can do this in a safe manner in a variety of ways. This has included hiring additional teaching space for our Media and Music courses, restructuring our timetable and redistributing some classes over two classrooms.
Please be assured that we will continue to be “covid-safe”, maintaining one way systems, social distancing, mask wearing and sanitising. The safety of our students remains the absolute priority and we will be monitoring this on a daily basis.
Students are being spoken to individually in regard to precisely how their new timetable will be working. However, if you would like more information, please can I ask that you contact the relevant Curriculum Area Lead, in the first instance:
