Reopening Update from the Principal
I hope that you are keeping well and the sun is shining where you are.
I wanted to give you an update on our planning for returning to college from March 8th.
As you will be aware, the government has stated that all students should begin returning to college from Monday March 8th. In the process of planning this we are balancing students returning to Bexhill and Brighton with the need to ensure that we are providing a safe environment for both students and staff.
To this end, there will be a phased return, based on the following:
- Week beginning March 8th: Re-engage all high needs students – Students will be contacted individually to discuss their return to face to face teaching
- Week beginning March 15th: L2 groups and all English & Maths students to return to face to face teaching
- L3 cohorts to return subsequently, based on dynamic risk assessment (more information to follow)
The aim of this approach is to allow us to reduce the number of staff and students in the building at any given time, to ensure safe social distancing and embed our health and safety processes prior to bringing more students back into the building.
We will continue to provide more details over the coming week or so. If you have any particular queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact:
