I hope that you are keeping safe and well.
Covid 19 Update
Like all other education providers, Dv8 has a responsibility to report every positive case to the DfE Coronavirus helpline in order to carry out full track and trace.
Please can I ask you to be aware of the following:
When to report
Positive case – If any student/ parent/ carer has been on site and subsequently experienced symptoms and a positive test result in the following 48 hours of being onsite, the college must be informed immediately to limit any further risk of infection.
Every positive case is reported to the DfE Coronavirus helpline in order to carry out full track and trace.
If a student has not been on site we must still be made aware of a positive result as soon as possible.
It is also important we are aware of any student experiencing symptoms so we can support where we can and advise about isolating and booking tests. The college must be informed of any student experiencing the below symptoms as soon as possible.
– A high temperature
– A new, continuous cough
– A loss or change to your sense of taste and smell
Who to report to
Symptoms must be reported to the Centre Coordinators.
Brighton – Kerri.Jones@dv8sussex.com
Bexhill – Shani.Rogers@dv8sussex.com
Positive cases and results must be reported to the Operations Manager
We are starting a drop in Wellbeing Club for all students this week.
Sessions will be every Tuesday between 12:40pm – 1:10pm.
It will differ week by week, but there will be a 30 minute activity such as yoga, quick crafts and mindfulness.
Please stay in contact with us and feedback on how we can provide more support or information during these challenging times.
Best wishes and stay safe.
Jim Sharpe (Principal)
