We are incredibly proud to announce that we received a grading of “significant progress” on our latest OFSTED monitoring visit. This is the highest grade that Ofsted can award.

The report stated that “Leaders and managers have an accurate understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the provision and use this to bring about improvements”, and that “staff know their students” and “students benefit from high-quality teaching”.

Jim Sharpe says what is exciting about Dv8 is that it is different to the majority of colleges. “We are a small college, with classes limited to 12 students, that prides itself on providing a friendly, supportive environment for all our students, whatever their previous experience in education. This has enabled us to continue to provide close support to all our students during lockdown and ensure that everyone is being well looked after and is continuing to make progress”.

We are entirely grateful to our students, staff, parents and everyone else involved in our community who make Dv8 such an incredible environment to be.
