This year is a very special year to take part in our Live Event Production course because learners will be helping to plan and manage a live night celebrating 10 years of Dv8 Sussex. It’s going to be bigger and better than anything Dv8 has done before, so it’s time to get excited!
The course for 16-19 year olds is due to kick off at the end of February, but applications will be welcomed until mid March, so get in touch now if you’d like to be a part of it!
Learners will get to create, promote and deliver an attention-grabbing event in Brighton in July, all with expert tuition from industry specialists. It’s a great opportunity to get hands on experience in stage and artist management, a Level 2 qualification and something amazing to put on the old CV.

James Turnbull
James is an award-winning live event and theatre producer based in Brighton. At Otherplace Productions James is well known for heading up The Warren, which was ‘Venue of the Year’ in 2012 and also won James an award for ‘Outstanding Contrinution to the Fringe’.
His company, OnO Theatre, creates work for, with or by young people touring schools and theatres.
Thomas H Green
Thomas writes regularly for the Daily Telegraph and Mixmag. He has been a consistent presence in the UK dance music media since the mid-Nineties and has also written more broadly about music and the arts elsewhere. He has written one book, Rock Shrines, with another on the way. He know his stuff and is still occasionally to be found in nightclubs as dawn approaches.
