They deliver skills and education programmes in partnership with Voluntary and Community Sector organisation and share many common values with Dv8. As well as young people’s provision this step enables LLC and Dv8 to broaden the scope and scale of its adult provision and increase its training and curriculum offer to funders, employers’ and learners alike.

As part of this initiative, Dv8 Sussex’s founder, Dan Wallman moves across to LLC and begins a new role as Director of Youth Services where he is to head up LLC’s young people’s activities and continue his strong connections with DV8. In taking up this new role Dan stated that “ I am really excited about the opportunities that this will now bring for both Dv8 and LLC and am so pleased to be able to continue Dv8’s extraordinary journey, after 17 years as an independent provider in Sussex, to now be part of the LLC family of providers. I’m looking forward to joining the LLC team in my new role and sure we will go from strength together, offering brilliant provision for young people across the South East.

LLC CEO Stephen Jeffery said that “We would like to thank Dan Wallman and the advisory board of DV8 in working so positively with us to help this development. This is a fantastic opportunity for two community focussed organisations to come together and ensure strong and independent young people’s provision across London and the South’.

DV8’s advisory Board Chair, Paul Mitchell, remains to Chair the new LLC subsidiary and had this to say ‘The Dv8 Advisory Board has worked closely with LLC and Dv8’s Senior Management Team to support the acquisition process and recognises the significant advantages and potential opportunities of the two organisations pooling their expertise and resources for the benefit of young people, employers and staff’.
