In just over a weeks’ time the Brighton Youth Film Festival will press play on a weekend of special events and screenings, celebrating the world of film.
The event will run from 29th – 30th June at Brighton Museum and will feature workshops, screenings, interviews and more.
Saturday 29th :
Paid workshops from 10.15-1pm (8-12 year olds) then 1.30-4.30pm (13-18 year olds)
Workshops run by Silverbox Multimedia: Mini Camera Video Production and Explore the Museum using your mobile phone, stills camera, tablet or other devices.
10.15am-1pm 8-12 years, 1.30 pm – 4.30 pm 13-18 years
Films made in Explore the Museum and Mini Camera Production will be screened the next day all around the museum.
Tickets are £5 or £4 if you’re members of the museum. You can book your tickets in advance on 03000 290902 (Mon-Fri), email visitor.services@brighton-hove.gov.uk or in person at Brighton Museum. A £1.50 booking fee may apply.
Sunday 30th :
11am – 3pm, Free entrance for all.
These are all drop-in workshops so no need to pay or book a space, just come to the museum and join in throughout the day.
- Watch live performances and projections performed by the talented Stage coach voices
- Come and learn how to improve your Comic Book and Story-boarding skills at a drop in workshop run by Silverbox Multimedia.
- Listen to talks and interviews which will give you an inside look into the world of filmmakers.
- See the funny films and animations of Brighton based Animator Dave Packer
- Best of all, we will be screening the winners of this year’s film competition in the Museum.
- Come and see who won, watch their film and take part in one of the many events while you’re here.
