Beats Battle was a huge success! For those of you don’t know, Beats Battle was a rap battle event between East Sussex and West Sussex styled in a boxing ring held in Bermuda Triangle Club, Brighton on Tuesday 17th June. It mixed together all the drama and excitement of a boxing match and all the grit and grime of street rap battle. It was completely organised by two of our Live Events students, Katie Moore and Reigan Bonner.
Four rappers from East and West Sussex battled it out in front of a packed audience, with Don’t Flops’ Suus refereeing the whole affair. The girls managed to fill the venue with around 80 people which is a fantastic turnout for their first organised event. In fact, it was so successful that they are already planning the next Beats Battle.

Katie and Reigan had this to say after the success of their event:
“Beats Battle was a massive success. It was everything I imagined when planning the event. Designing the stage as a boxing ring really did add the grit and grime of a rap battle and the excitement and drama of a boxing match, all into one event. I look forward to myself and Reigan continuing to work with South Coast Media and producing similar events.” – Katie Moore
“Beats Battle was a fun and energetic event, which ran smoothly and successfully to my expectations. I look forward to the future in running similar events with Katie, along side South Coast Media.” – Reigan Bonner
