Yesterday saw Dv8 Bexhill open up for a celebration, as Cllr Dowling from East Sussex County Council came to visit the learners and the centre. Cllr Dowling has recently donated a fantastic £500 to Dv8 Bexhill, as part of his yearly support for community groups. To mark this, Dv8 invited the Cllr and other local community organisations to come to an afternoon of performances and fun.

The On2 Performance crew were set a challenge to write a song in a morning which they then performed (really well) when everyone arrived. (Good training for auditions!) The On2 Music group showed off their brilliant new single that will be released on iTunes soon.

Cllr Dowling said: “It’s such a pleasure to visit the Dv8 centre in Bexhill and see all the fantastic work being undertaken by the young people and the staff here. It’s organisations such as Dv8 that really make a difference to young people’s lives and help them to gain the confidence and skills to progress and I congratulate you on the brilliant work you all do. I will be downloading the Dv8 track on iTunes as soon as it is released on 23rd July!”

Many thanks to Cllr Dowling for his support and donation.
