What is dv8 careers day?
The Dv8 Careers Day is in place to give our students the opportunity to explore what options and pathways are out there for their next steps in work or education.
You’ll experience a whole day full of industry guest speakers, careers and progression advice, plus skills workshops in games, music, media, art and fashion!
Dv8 Careers Day will be held on….
Brighton: Monday 11th November, 10.15am – 4.45pm
Bexhill: Wednesday 20th November, 10.15am – 4.45pm
HOW DOES THE DAY WORK?
Your normal timetable is collapsed for the day so that you are free to attend the talks that you want to. Even if it’s not your usual day at Dv8, all students are highly encouraged to attend.
Some talks are on more than once and others will only be on for one session, so plan your day carefully!
To help us coordinate and organise the day, please could all Brighton students complete this quick Google Form to give us an idea of classroom space. Thanks for your help.

The brilliant Platform B – next generation radio will be here, with co-founder Nats talking about her journey and the progress the station is making.
The digital heavyweight Wired Sussex will be here talking about careers in the ever growing digital market of Brighton. And Make Real will be taking us through the story of their company and how you can navigate your way into the gaming industry.
Media students might be interested in talks from Studio Be (Ted talkers nonetheless!) A production company where the shows are filmed, created and aimed at the 16-20 year old market. As well as our awesome friends at Big Egg Film productions, who are busier than ever creating incredible short films and trailers.
We have representatives from Waterbear Music and MET College to discuss Further and Higher Education options. You also of course have our very own in-house team available (Tamar & Mel) to talk about your options for work experience and beyond.
