TRAINING PROJECTS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Dv8 is a community organisation based in Sussex and London that specialises in delivering innovative training projects in creative and media, all taught by industry professionals and designed to provide a real working experience of being in a small creative company.

Our courses produce real outcomes, such as an under 18′s night, a live theatre event, film screenings, a record release or fashion show. All Dv8 courses are designed to engage and support young people helping them to develop strong personal, employment and life skills through real creative enterprise.

We recognise the strength of learning through doing something that is challenging, inspiring and fun. Students on our courses can gain vocational qualifications as well as qualifications in functional skills such as communication, IT, group working, literacy and numeracy. These qualifications can be achieved by completing the activities they have to undertake in order to successfully produce their event, multimedia, music, performance or fashion piece.

We also run the Advanced Apprenticeship in Creative & Digital Media, which offers apprentices the chance to work in a paid job with a successful digital company whilst also benefitting from specialist training and gaining a qualification.
