CREATIVE MUSIC INDUSTRY

LEVEL 2 & LEVEL 3

CREATIVE MUSIC INDUSTRY COURSE OVERVIEW

The Creative Music Industry course aims to support you to build skills in composing, recording, producing, and performing music. The curriculum offers you the opportunity to develop musicianship and technical skills, there are two pathways, the student can choose a production pathway or a performance pathway depending on their area of interest or musical specialism.

Level 2
This course has 3 main elements: learning how to use Ableton as a recording and production platform, learning how to develop composition skills by using a favourite artist as a guide to musical style(s), and learning how a music artist develops an image and identity – again using chosen artists as case studies.
There are also opportunities for performance for learners
who are interested and want to participate in end-of-term showcases, or if they want to use extra-curricular time for a music club.
