On2 Fashion - For 16-19 year olds - At Dv8 Brighton
Learn about the exciting world of fashion and what makes up the industry. Get practical experience in design, styling and making, and leave with your own portfolio. Visit fashion events, venues or showcases. Work with our Dv8 fashion tutor, who is a highly experienced designer. All this and you can gain a nationally recognised qualification at the same time!
For this course you need to be 16-19 and not enrolled on another course.
You can take Fashion at Level 2, specialising in either Fashion & Design or Fashion & Clothing:
Fashion & Clothing, January – June 2013: 21 weeks long. Learn skills in pattern-cutting, clothes-making and styling. (Tues, Weds & Thurs 10:30 – 4:30)
Fashion & Design, September – December 2013: 12 weeks long. Learn about textiles and printmaking. Design and produce unique fabrics and accessories.
Opportunities for work experience placements in the creative industries on both levels. Previous placements have included Latest TV, Oh My Honey and more.
You could earn the following qualifications:
- Fashion: BTEC level 2 Diploma in Fashion and Clothing
- Functional skills Maths
- Functional skills English
