Brighton Breakout performance

On Tuesday 24th of June The Old Market played host to Brighton Breakout, a hip hop showcase which focused on the positive side of hip hop in order to break the stereotype of gangs, violence and drugs. The incredibly successful event was organised by Leanne, Shannel and Georgina from our Live Events course.

The night brought performers from Brighton, Bexhill, Crawley and East Croydon together for one night to deliver an amazing musical environment for young people from the local area to go along and enjoy.

Even though they lost their original venue two days before the event was due to go on, Leanne managed to get a space at The Old Market and still had a brilliant turnout of around 70 people!

“Brighton Breakout was a great event – the mixture of artists on the bill was something truly unique to Brighton. The team managed the event very well – a positive vibe showcasing the best of Sussex talent.” James Turnbull, Programmer The Old Market.
